How to use examples well

Copy the reasoning, not the claims.

1. Identify the proof

Notice which outcomes, scope, decisions, and constraints are made easy to scan.

2. Match the role

Ask why one role emphasizes technical depth while another foregrounds leadership or commercial impact.

3. Use your own facts

Never borrow another person's numbers, employers, credentials, or achievements. Rebuild the pattern from evidence you can defend.

If the employer uses a conservative application portal, start with the ATS-friendly resume guide. If the challenge is relevance rather than layout, use the target-role tailoring process. You can compare all seven ready formats in the resume template guide.

Your resume should explain your evidence—not imitate a sample.

Start with your work history, see the strengths analysis, then choose the role and format.
